Body/Injury Mapping

3D Body & injury mapping is a key service being increasingly requested by all parts of the
Police.

Previously pathology photos could not be shown to the jury for fear of being prejudicial. BR Consult can accurately reconstruct injuries in such a way that defence counsel cannot argue against the inclusion in court. A key benefit is to ensure a third party can understand exactly what was involved in the cause of death (CPS, other expert witnesses etc). These techniques can now be animated and integrated into real-time 3D to present a far more compelling case.

2D Floor Plans/2D Isometrics, Data Capture & Site Surveys

2D floor plans and 2D isometrics are highly effective services to pull together all the strands of a case & illustrate points of view. This is often more important than the floor plan itself. The information that we compile & plot on the plans themselves could include footprints, blood distribution, finger print position, photo position data and many other elements. All data capture, internal/external measured site survey is conducted by our in house team to
ensure continuity of the exhibit & assure you of the time of the arrival of the finished product without relying on any third parties outside of our control.

Example:
If a Forensic Telecom analyst provides a cell-site presentation, the cell sites/their coverage & addresses are the relevant information, not the map of the area itself.

Another form of 2D work that we can provide is Isometric drafting. This is often used as a
cheaper version of 3D work (although less engaging) that can be produced in half the time &
consequently at half the price.

Marked Photography

Marked photography, like isometric drawings, provide a more cost effective solution to portraying a scene that otherwise may have to be shown in 3D.

Example:
A measured elevation of a property was requested in order to establish the distance of the fall of the victim & the relationship between the room from which she fell & various exterior features of the property described in statements.

The request by counsel, if followed to the letter, would have taken between 1.5 to 2 working days to complete & issue. The suggested & accepted alternative took 1 hour to complete & issue for approval as part of a
presentation, saving the client considerable time & money.

Panoramic Photography/Virtual Tours/Interactive 3D Walkthroughs

BR Consult can provide panoramic photography, which involves taking photographs of scenes (inside or out) in 360 degrees & viewed on any standard laptop or DVD presentation.

These 'interactive virtual 3D tours' can be included in the court presentation to show the jury an accurate representation of a crime scene. The operator can navigate around a property or area by clicking on hotspots within the scene.

Panoramic photgrpahy can be created with just two pictures to created a complete 360 degree representation. BR Consult supply the specialist equiment to do this and also provide this service at highly competitive rates.
